Inpatient Pediatrics and Newborn Care

CCS pediatric hospitalists and nurse practitioners provide 24/7 care for newborns in the Mother/Baby unit in the Betty H. Cameron Women’s & Children’s Hospital at NHRMC, and sick and recovering children on the pediatrtic floor of NHRMC and Columbus Regional Medical Center in Whiteville, NC. The dedicated staff in all units provide attentive, compassionate care for newborn babies and children up to 18 years old recovering from serious illness or surgery.

The specially trained pediatric hospitalists enjoy academic appointment at the UNC School of Medicine, and each has academic or administrative interests including: medical education, quality improvement, ethics, and end of life care.

Because of our focus on family-centered care, we make it a priority to keep mom and baby together unless medical attention is needed.
