Pediatric Neurologist - Wilmington, NC

Excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Neurologist to join Coastal Children’s Services (CCS) to provide care to infants and children (newborn to 18 years old) in communities throughout southeastern North Carolina. CCS is a growing pediatric subspecialty practice located in the coastal city of Wilmington. This position offers the potential for a clinical academic appointment through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Opportunities for clinical research are also available for those who are interested.   

 

This position is primarily based at the Autumn Hall campus of the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics of New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s (NHRMC) Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The Pediatric Neurologist also provides inpatient consultations at the main hospital campus. Additional satellite clinics may also be planned to serve children in surrounding rural communities as needed. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in pediatric neurology, with preference given to individuals with sleep study interpretation experience.

Pediatric Gastroenterologist - Wilmington, NC

Excellent opportunity for a full-time pediatric gastroenterologist to join Coastal Children’s Services (CCS) to provide care to infants and children (newborn to 18 years old). CCS is a growing pediatric subspecialty practice located in beautiful, southeastern North Carolina. This position offers the potential for a clinical academic appointment through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Opportunities for clinical research are also available for those who are interested.

 

This position is primarily based at the Autumn Hall campus of the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics of New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s (NHRMC) Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Clinical time will include general pediatric gastroenterology services, as well as leadership of a successful and growing feeding clinic. Privileges are granted at the main hospital campus to perform procedures and to provide inpatient pediatric gastroenterology consultation. There may also be an expectation to conduct monthly outreach clinics in Jacksonville, Lumberton, & Whiteville, NC.  Additional satellite clinics may also be planned to serve children in surrounding rural communities as needed.

Nurse Practitioner - PRN - Wilmington, NC

Excellent opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position to be part of an outpatient/inpatient team, primarily residing in the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC).  NHRMC has a 17-bed general pediatrics inpatient unit, a six bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Newborn Observation Unit, a 45-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Outpatient Clinic. Our inpatient pediatric team of hospitalists, intensivists and nurse practitioners provide continuous inpatient coverage to infants and children admitted to the hospital.

The PNP/FNP in this role will initially function as a member of the inpatient physician team covering the pediatric floor with the Hospitalist team. Comprehensive, quality inpatient care responsibilities include: patient assessment, history and physicals, diagnoses, examinations, lab orders, prescriptions and treatment for patients from newborn to 18 years of age.  Additional duties include, rounding in the general inpatient unit, providing newborn coverage in the mother-baby unit and educating staff, medical students and residents.
